About Bannerman, Edmonton
Bannerman, annexed to Edmonton in 1961, is part of the Clareview district. Development began in the 1970s after the Clareview Outline Plan was approved in 1972.
The neighbourhood features a centrally located school and recreation facilities. Residential streets are designed for efficient traffic flow, with commercial services available at Clareview Town Centre on Victoria Trail. A nearby LRT station provides transit access. Bannerman was named after H. Bannerman, a local businessman and Belmont School Board member who settled in the area in 1883.
