About MacTaggart, Edmonton
MacTaggart is a southwest Edmonton neighbourhood, forming the southeast boundary of the Terwillegar Servicing Concept Design Brief. Approved in 2005, development began soon after and continues today.
Bounded by MacTaggart Road, Rabbit Hill Road, Whitemud Creek Ravine, and Anthony Henday Drive, the neighbourhood features a mix of housing types, including single and semi-detached homes, row housing, and low-rise apartments. A school and park site will be built in the northeast. Residents have easy access to Terwillegar Towne’s commercial amenities, the Leger transit centre, and the southwest recreation centre.
MacTaggart is named after Sandy Auld Mactaggart, a local entrepreneur and philanthropist known for his contributions to business, the arts, and education.
