About Magrath Heights, Edmonton
Magrath Heights is a southwest Edmonton neighbourhood within the Terwillegar Heights Servicing Concept Design Brief. Bounded by MacTaggart Drive, Rabbit Hill Road, 23 Avenue, and Whitemud Creek, its development began in 2003 and is now largely complete.
The neighbourhood features a mix of low-density single and semi-detached homes, along with medium-density row housing and low-rise apartments. Medium-density housing is near major roads, commercial areas, and a school site. A commercial hub is planned for the northwest, a stormwater pond sits in the northeast, and a large park is centrally located.
Named after W. J. Magrath, an early curling association president and community leader, Magrath Heights continues the tradition of naming streets after notable individuals with the same initial.
