Twin Brooks is a scenic, triangular-shaped neighbourhood in southwest Edmonton, nestled between the Blackmud and Whitemud Creek Ravines and just north of the Anthony Henday Drive. Development began in the late 1980s and continued through the 1990s and 2000s. The community is primarily made up of single-family homes, with smaller amounts of semi-detached houses, row homes, and low-rise apartments. Designed for quiet living, Twin Brooks features cul-de-sacs and looped roadways accessed via 119th and 111th Streets.
The heart of the neighbourhood includes a joint school and park site, a central stormwater lake, and beautifully landscaped green spaces. A linear pathway corridor along a gas line right-of-way enhances walkability. While the Catholic school site was rezoned for future housing, the area still provides excellent amenities and access to nature. Twin Brooks was aptly named for its location between two natural creeks, offering a peaceful residential setting close to major routes and natural beauty.
