Nestled between the University of Alberta and William Hawrelak Park, Windsor Park offers a prime location with easy access to recreation and university life. Despite its vibrancy, the neighborhood maintains a quiet, residential charm on its side streets.
Originally known as River Lot 3, the area was subdivided in 1911 and became part of Edmonton in 1912. Most development occurred in the 1940s and 1950s, with single-detached homes dominating the area. Windsor Park provides direct access to the river valley and university, with a few businesses along 87th Avenue. It was named in 1910, possibly after Windsor, England.
