Queen Mary Park, located northwest of downtown Edmonton, was largely developed by the 1950s, with redevelopment beginning in the 1960s near the city core. Originally part of the Hudson’s Bay Company Reserve, a 1928 covenant restricted development north of 108 Avenue to single-detached homes, though this was later amended to allow for more housing types. Today, the neighbourhood features a mix of land uses, with roughly equal areas occupied by single-detached houses and low-rise apartments.
Apartments are primarily concentrated north and south of the commercial corridor along 107 Avenue, while non-residential uses make up more than half of the neighbourhood. With its proximity to downtown and a blend of historic and modern developments, Queen Mary Park continues to evolve as an urban community.
