About Rossdale, Edmonton
Rossdale, a historic river valley community just south of downtown Edmonton, is near Riverdale and Cloverdale. It is home to Telus Field and close to Victoria Golf Course, Victoria Park, and the Royal Glenora Club.
Originally called Ross Flats, the area has deep Indigenous roots and was a key location for fur trading, industry, and early cultural events. A 1915 flood led to a decline in industrial use, and today, much of Rossdale is dedicated to parks and recreation. The neighbourhood is undergoing revitalization while preserving its rich history.
